What this is about
BuyProof may receive a commission from a shop or an affiliate network for purchases made through a forwarded link. This costs you nothing extra.
What it does not influence
Neither the order of the offers, nor the match level, nor the choice of the best match. This separation is built into the software: the component that creates affiliate links is only called after an offer has already been chosen, and the components that decide what is shown cannot even reach it. Automated tests fail the build as soon as that changes.
If there is no affiliate programme
Then you get the plain shop link. Having no partnership is no disadvantage for a shop.
Current status
BuyProof takes part in affiliate programmes, currently through the Awin network. Some of the links to offers are therefore affiliate links. If you buy through such a link, BuyProof may receive a commission. You complete the purchase directly with the shop.
How affiliate links are marked
Every offer that leads through an affiliate link carries the label “Affiliate link” in the result list. Below the list we explain what that means. Offers without this label lead to the plain shop link.
Click counting
We do not track individuals. We count clicks on offers only as a daily total, split by whether the offer was an affiliate link. Where we count outgoing links individually, we store only shop, network and time, in each case without an account identifier, session ID or IP address. The affiliate network records the visit to an affiliate link on its own site; its privacy notice applies there.

Draft. The labelling requirements for advertising must be reviewed by a lawyer before the public launch. The German version prevails.
